cool stuff i found on the web

yesterweb: this is a website that contains lots of information about the reclaiming the web movement, about realizing the problems
of the current system and what can actually be done.
frutiger aero archive: this website contains a bunch of resources and information related to the frutiger aero aesthetic.

navlink ads: i love the concept of this. it's an advertising system for which you don't have to pay - you just have to put the widget in your website. it really contributes to making the indie web more accessible to everyone.
playlists
this is probably my favorite playlist ever - i've had it on loop countless times and i never get tired of it. it helped me discover a bunch of goth artists. plus, the playlist's a blend of old and modern goth bands, but they've all got that 80's sound. it really is a vibe.
this playlist made me discover shoegaze. i love every element of this: the music, the images (they're from fallen angels, my favorite movie), and the photography (meaning the way they colorgraded and edited the film footage).
this mix is based on the movie fight club - incorporating songs from the movie's ost and other songs with a similar vibe -, and i absolutely love the overall vibe of it. it's colorgraded to match the classic david fincher green, too.
video essays / other videos
this was released 10 years ago. and it's become pretty relevant because clippy has now become an icon for the reclaiming of the internet and for stopping tech corps, especially now at height of the gen ai heat. it represents a time when technology's only function was to help users work, not gather information about them in order to sell it. the fact that youtube is recommending this video now is actually pretty wild. it's so fun to scroll through the comments and see everyone with different variants of the clippy pfp.
really cool short film.
